While aluminum naturally forms a protective oxide layer, the anodizing process allows the formation of an oxide layer of controlled thickness and homogeneity with the additional possibility of coloring it with high corrosion resistance and the possibility of coloring it.
The aluminum painting process requires a pretreatment that ensures the adhesion of the paint on the metal while generating a passive layer that improves corrosion resistance.
